Andromachi Dimogiannopoulou - Deputy Headteacher
Andromachi Dimogiannopoulou was born in Patras, Greece. She is a Qualified Humanities and Music teacher both in primary and secondary education in the UK and Greece. She possesses 27 years of teaching experience in Greek and British schools, Conservatories and Organizations supporting diversity, as well as students with special needs. She holds a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the University of Manchester, a BA (Hons) in Humanities, in Studies in European Civilisation from the Hellenic Open University, TESOL/TEFL in English as foreign language, as well as, Diplomas with Distinction equivalent to FRSM Level in Music Composition from the Orfeio Conservatory, Harmony and Counterpoint from the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, Fugue from the Athenaeum Conservatory, Vocal studies from the Mousikoi Orizontes Conservatory, and LRSM Level in Piano.
Her compositions have been performed in important venues in Greece (The Athens Concert Hall-Megaron, American College of Greece-Deree, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras), in Manchester (Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall, Whitworth Art Gallery, St. Michael Church in the Ancoats), and in the U.S.A (Asheville of North Carolina). As Mezzo-soprano, has performed music including operas, oratorios and contemporary music in significant venues in Greece, including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Apollo Theatre of Patras, Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras and French Institute of Athens. She has also been involved in collaborative translation of books from English to Greek.
